{"id":11403,"date":"2020-01-24T14:19:55","date_gmt":"2020-01-24T12:19:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.terveilm.ee\/leht\/?p=11403"},"modified":"2020-01-24T14:19:56","modified_gmt":"2020-01-24T12:19:56","slug":"partnerships-and-events-trainee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.terveilm.ee\/leht\/blogi\/partnerships-and-events-trainee\/","title":{"rendered":"Partnerships and Events Trainee"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Estonian Roundtable for Development Cooperation (AK\u00dc) is looking to recruit a Partnerships and Events trainee to assist with the organisation of an international conference in Tallinn and any other trainings and events&nbsp; of the Bridge 47 \u2013 Building Global Citizenship project (5 months, full-time).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>Bridge 47 <\/em>project aims to mobilise global civil society to contribute to global justice and eradication of poverty through global citizenship education. <strong>Estonian Roundtable for Development Cooperation (AK\u00dc)<\/strong> is a not-for-profit with membership of non-governmental organisations that work in the field of development cooperation, global citizenship education or sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bridge 47 project focuses on the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>Bridge 47 network<\/em>: The project sets up a vibrant global coalition in support of global citizenship.<\/li><li><em>Advocacy<\/em> at national, EU and global level. The project works to change policies at national, EU and global level to better recognize the essential role of Global Citizenship Education in achieving Agenda 2030, global justice and eradication of poverty.&nbsp;<\/li><li><em>Development of partnerships<\/em>: The project creates new partnerships \u2013 advocacy, knowledge exchange and exploratory partnerships \u2013 with a range of different actors, from policy makers to academia, and from media to police and military, in support of Global Citizenship Education.&nbsp;<\/li><li><em>Capacity development and innovation<\/em>: The project builds the capacity of European and civil society organisations to work with and create innovations for Global Citizenship Education.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is funded by the European Union. It started in October 2017 and will run until October 2020. The project consortium consists of two global networks (CIVICUS and ICAE), three national development education networks (in France, Ireland and Scotland), six national CSO platforms (in Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Slovakia and Slovenia), three organisations working on GCE (in Cyprus, Denmark and Latvia), and a European research network (EADI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bridge 47 is now looking to recruit a PARTNERSHIPS AND EVENTS TRAINEE (5 months) to assist the project with event &amp; trainings&nbsp; preparations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tasks of the Partnerships and Events Trainee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The trainee will assist the National Officers&nbsp; with tasks related to event organisation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Supporting with the logistics, communication and planning of the Bridge 47 Partnerships event in Tallinn in May;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Supporting with logistics and communication of other national and\/or EU advocacy events and trainings;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Supporting work taking place with existing partnerships and building new ones, especially with the private sector in promoting global citizenship education.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The trainee may also conduct other tasks assigned by the National Officers in line with the profile of a Partnerships and Events Trainee<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Skills and Qualifications of the Partnerships and Events Trainee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Core competencies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills<\/li><li>Fluency in English&nbsp;<\/li><li>Reliability as a team player<\/li><li>Commitment to the values of Global Citizenship Education<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Preferably is currently studying at a higher education institution, or has recently graduated.<\/li><li>Some experience in project \/ event management.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, we appreciate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Motivation and positive attitude<\/li><li>Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing circumstances<\/li><li>Familiarity with Office 365<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employment conditions:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The position is remunerated, and the trainee will work 40 hours a week.
