10. mail külastab Eestit jäätmevaba elustiili üks eestkõnelejatest, Bea Johnson USAst. Tema külaskäigu puhul korraldame õhtusöögi, mille eesmärk on näidata reaalseid kasutuskohti, kuidas eri jääkidest säästlikult toitu valmistada. Õhtusöögi kontseptsiooni autor ja teostaja on Peeter Pihel, kes on töötanud Rootsi parima restorani Fäviken Magasineti peakoka parema käena.

Euroopa komisjoni andmetel läheb Euroopa Liidu maades igal aastal raisku 88 miljonit tonni toitu.

F-Hoone vastavatud Musta Saali uksed avatake kell 19.30, õhtusöök algab kell 20.00

Kolmekäigulise õhtusöögi hind on 34 eurot, piletid saadaval siin:

Piletituluga kaetakse toidu valmistamise, ruumi rendi ja teenindamisega seotud kulud.

Koos Peeter Piheliga korraldavad õhtusööki Arengukoostöö Ümarlaud ja Teeme Ära! maailmakoristus.

Õhtusöögile eelneb tasuta seminar Tallinna Ülikoolis:

On May 10th one of the spokespersons of zero waste lifestyle – Bea Johnson is visiting Estonia. Through her blog and with her book, Zero Waste Home, Bea inspires a growing international community to live simply and take a stance against needless waste. In her honour we are organising a zero waste dinner. The author of this dinner concept is Peeter Pihel – the former sous chef of Swedish restaurant Fäviken Magasinet, one of the 50 best restaurants in the world.

According to European Union, about 88 million tons of food goes annually to waste. Pihel is convinced that if there is a lack of fresh produce, one should be creative. Having been raised in a family that was always resourceful in planning meals, he uses the same practice in the kitchen daily: “Obviously, me and my view of the world and working habits are largely shaped by my roots. It is my joy and privilege to be born and raised on an island. There is a peculiar rhythm of life there, which is also reflected in the way I cook. If the raw materials are scarce, one must use his creativeness – It motivates and forces one to think of something new and perhaps even make better things.”

The menu will be put together by improvising with the produce from restaurants in Telliskivi Creative City.

Dinner will take place in brand new Black Room of Restaurant F-Hoone. Doors open at 7.30 PM, dinner starts at 8.00 PM.

The price of three course dinner is 34 euros, tickets are available here:https://www.ticketer.ee/zero-waste-dinner-f-hoone/

The ticket fees will be used to cover the costs related to room rent, cooking and service.

The dinner is organised by Peeter Pihel together with Let’s Do it! World and Estonian Roundtable for Development Cooperation.

At 5.30 PM, Bea Johnson gives a free lecture at Tallinn Universtity:
